I do not know if I’ll ever get this Blog to look like anything. I have looked at some of the others and I am about ready to give up. Most of what I looked at looks professionally done. There must be a lot of very capable people on this site.  I just do not have the time to sit at the computer long enough to learn how to make my Blog look like the others. I need to be using my time for  painting the wood-grain. I guess I’ll just add my email and think about this for awhile. I restored or should I say am restoring a 1939 Chevrolet. It is a Master Town Sedan model. I thought it would look nice with a wood-grain dash and windows. I did some investigating and learned there are very few people who do this, and those that do charge a LOT of money. I played around with several methods of doing this myself. Finally the one that looked the best was when I hand painted the application. The next thing I learned is there are many styles of how the wood-grain will look. Some of the variations depend on what colors are used in the application of the painting. The picture above does not do it justice but it does give the idea of what it looks like. I did all the window frames; back, both rear sides, both front doors, and the windshield frame. I’ll post more pictures later. The reason I am blogging about it is to offer my services (for a small fee) to those who would like to have this type of finish applied to their car window frames and dash. I will talk about prices and contact info on a later post.
